Pool Day

As the weather finally starts to warm up I can't help but dream about spending a whole day lounging pool side. Summer is the perfect opportunity to unwind by the pool with a little happy hour and good friends. I can hardly wait for pool season to official begin.

Could anything be better than afternoon spent in an inner tube?

The Recipe:


Ingredients

• 3/4 cup pineapple juice
• 1/2 cup gin
• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons creme de cassis
• 2 pineapple wedges (for garnish)

Directions

1. In a pitcher, mix together pineapple juice, gin, and lemon juice. Divide between 2 tall (Collins) glasses. Pour 1 teaspoon creme de cassis in the center of each glass; do not stir. Carefully fill glasses with ice cubes, and garnish each with a pineapple wedge.

Perfectly Inspired Desks

I have recently learned that I will once again become a full time student. With this new knowledge I have started to look for the perfect inspiration to create the ideal space to do all the studying I know is coming my way! I love the personal touches added to the spaces below. A desk should inspire the work that must be done. My perfect desk would have the essential preppy touches and a place to put all of the necessary tools needed to study hard!

There is almost nothing I love more than a well organized space! I am a serial to-do list maker and have fallen love with the Russell and Hazel store for all things organized. I use the small planner to manage my entire life and I really don't think I could live without it!

The Season of Wellies

As the snow melts away and the spring showers begin there is no better time to throw on your Wellies and get outside. Wellies have been a classic for years and are perfect for the mud. I love them in the classic hunter green but also like the bright colors to add a pop of color to any outfit. They are the perfect preppy rain gear and I am in love with the season of Wellies!

Cases To Die For

I had to share with you my new must have! I just received my monogramed iPhone case and LOVE it! In a family that has several iPhones telling them apart is now much easier. Porch Swings

In my opinion there is no where more wonderful to spend one of the first days of spring then on a porch swing. A porch swing will be a must for my future home. Sipping lemonade on a warm summer day or enjoying a glass of wine as the sun goes down porch swings truly offer a perfect place to relax in the home.

What a wonderful place to spend a summer afternoon!

Trouser Jeans: My New Love

I am loving the new spring jean trend. Trouser jeans look polished and professional paired with a cute cardigan. I am dying to get out there and buy myself a pair to start wearing!

I am really enjoying the dark wash of trouser jeans, I think they can look good on anyone! Even better I think they will be a staple that can carry over from spring to fall.

Love that this pair is an even darker wash. I am also dying to own this cardigan!

As a huge Citizens of Humanity fan this pair makes me swoon. Their really is nothing better than a great pair of jeans. The perfect pair  can make you feel sexier in an instant.

It's all about the cupcake

Nothing is better to cure a sweet tooth than a cupcake! Baking cupcakes as become a favorite activity of mine lately and I am hoping that one day I will be able to make them as adorable as these!

Out on the water...or at least dreaming about it!

As it continues to barely edge above fifty degrees here I can't help but dream of being out on the water! I know I need help to remember sometime in the near future we will be back out there on the lake...it is coming.

Today is a big day, my good friend Keely over at luxe+lillies has helped me set up this blog! I am so excited to set out on this new adventure and see where it takes me. Before I begin I want to thank my good friend from the bottom of my heart for all of her efforts in creating a blog that truly reflects who I am.
